Do you know that there are different types of gamers out there? Each gamer you encounter has their own way of playing, and a different motivation on why they are into games. If you consider yourself a gamer, then you will most likely fall into one of these categories of gamers. Check them out below and find out which one you are!
- The Casual Gamer
This is perhaps the most common type of gamer you will find. As you might be able to tell by the name, casual gamers have a casual attitude to gaming. They simply play games to have fun, to relax or just to kill time. To them, winning or losing in a game don't really matter, as they are in it to find the element of fun. This type of people has their own genre of game dedicated to them; Casual Games. These games are gaining more attention than others, since they are simple, quick and easy to play.
- The Social Gamer
A social gamer's main motivation to play games is to connect with other people. They utilize games as a medium to communicate with other people who share the same interests as them. A social gamer also enjoys being in a community of gamers and socialize with the people within that community.
- The Competitive Gamer
For this type of gamers, the main motivation to play game is to win. Unlike casual gamers, they go into a match with a competitive attitude. They get so much joy and a sense of accomplishment when they manage to beat and outplay their opponents. For a competitive gamer, there is no such thing as a friendly match, and they won't go easy on you on any match you play.
- Hardcore Gamer
A hardcore gamer will get so immersed in a video game that their lives revolves around it. They have little to no interaction with the outside world, as you will find their nose stuck in a computer or phone screen most of the time. Thus, they most likely have more friends online than in real-life.
