Revive Creativity from Custumer to Producer, Melon Gaming Collaborated with Binus University to hold the first Melon Game Jam

Known as the biggest internet user, Indonesia, is often referred as the market with the biggest potential revenue for the online business. With that idea in mind, Melon Gaming Ltd. collaborated with one of the major IT University in Jakarta in order to show how the typical player or developer can become a game producer, by holding a game jam event where the creativity of the millennial generation would be fully expressed through an online game creation competition.

This event was held successfully and gathered both game developers and game enthusiasts across Jakarta to compete in making an instant game using melonJS as the game engine. Such a collaboration with Bina Nusantara University was key as this university has a special video game course and an active community of enthusiasts around it.

Through this event, Melon Gaming Ltd. helped raising awareness on the video gaming industry and with a focus on the online gaming industry in Indonesia. By introducing the melonJS game engine, to help developers to easily and quickly develop HTML5 games, we wish to aspire the creativity of game developers in Indonesia to create instant games and publish them.

We held this event to motivate and inspire all gamers in Indonesia to not just play but actively create. We want them to be aware of what happened around them and take the coming opportunity in the game development industry.
