Facebook Instant Game Developers will get a Revenue Increase in 2018

Instant Games have garnered the attention of millions of Facebook Messenger users. Facebook now has over 1000 Instant Games available on their platform, and they have been played over 4.3 billion times in the last 90 days only.

In an effort to bring more Instant Game developers to Facebook, Facebook announced that all their Instant Game developers will now get to keep all their in-app revenue.

This is good news, especially for Android developers, as previously they have to make a 30% cut from their in-app revenue to give to Google, and an additional 30% to give to Facebook. With this change, Android developers now only have to pay their share to Google, and will no longer have to give Facebook a cut. Their revenue will certainly increase as they now get to keep 70% of their in-app revenue.

Due to this change in the revenue policy, people are becoming more eager to develop their own Instant Games, and more people are encouraged to build their business on this social media platform.

If you are one of the people who are intrigued by this opportunity, you can easily start developing your own game through melonJS game engine. MelonJS is a lightweight HTML5 game engine, specializing in 2D game creation.
